As a teen, I believed that “fitness” meant being as thin as possible. In my 20’s, I began to work on my psycho-spiritual well being, and my connection to my own health, fitness and body image changed. My self-esteem improved. I changed my relationship with food and began eating healthier. I started to care for the body I had been living in and see exercise as a way to love myself while becoming more present in my being. Fitness has become a unique part of my spiritual path. When I get through a challenging workout, I feel great. Recognizing it as an accomplishment erases negative thinking and brings me joy. I see my work with you and how I train myself as less about getting you and or me to be a certain size and more about training us to be super fit, eating well, and living the best life we can. When old dance injuries flare up, I listen to my body and work around my injury by being careful not to push my body where it doesn’t want to be pushed. I have brought this level of caring to my work with others for many years.
I was offered a unique opportunity when I was 27. I was working out at my local YMCA in Kingston NY when I met the fitness director. She took a liking to me immediately and offered to train me to be an aerobics instructor and I have never looked back. I have been in the field ever since. I have taught and am certified in most of the following modalities of fitness, health, and dance, Hip-Hop, strength training, bootcamp, step, Interval training, improvisational dance, water aerobics, yoga, circuit training, myofascial release, TRX, Mat Pilates, dance fitness, creative movement, Qigong infused Yoga, modern dance, active older adult fitness, mindful eating, beginner ballet, chair fitness, jazz dance, barre fitness, core strengthening class and so much more.I take all of my back history as a fitness instructor into my personal training, plus I keep getting more health, wellness and fitness certifications. I never want to stop growing in what I know and what I offer you.

I am clear you are beautiful and worthy as you are.

In addition to my over 25 years of experience in fitness and dance-
- I hold a number of certifications from various disciplines that will help me create a workout that is JUST RIGHT FOR YOU!
- Through my Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University , I learned how to tailor workouts based on different learning styles.
- I minored in Dance for my undergraduate degree from SUNY New Paltz, NY
- I am certified K-12 in dance through the Department of Education in Massachusetts.
- I have been certified through Holyoke Community College and AFFA as a Personal Training
- I am certified in Barre Fitness, TRX, Pilates Mat, Active Older Adult Fitness, Aqua Aerobics, K-12 Dance, Ageless, Qi Gong Infused Yoga, Group Fitness Instruction, while specializing in Myofascial Release Rolling , and conscious eating and body awareness.
- I believe life-long learning is essential for my own growth as well as the growth of my clients.
